One of my recent interests is researching the Jack the Ripper murders.
Unfortunately ripperArt Publishers is now closed down.
However, a new Jack the Ripper Map Book is now available!
The Jack the Ripper map of Spitalfields and Whitechapel 1888, ISBN 978-0-9571990-0-2 printed version of the Jack the Ripper Map Book is now available.
The printed version is 52 pages in total, much bigger than the old booklet, printed on A4 160gsm paper and perfect bound.
The main map, at a scale of 32 inches to the mile, again, much bigger than the old version, is split into 25 map plates. Also included are enlargements of the map sections for each murder site, and there is also basic information about each of the Whitechapel Murder victims, as well as the Canonical 5 Jack the Ripper murder victims.
The new Full Map is nearly 50% bigger than the old fold out version, it's 50 inches by 30 inches. However, it is only available by download. The cost of printing a map of this size is just far too much.
The book version of the map is also available to download, and, the main map, at a scale of 32 inches to the mile, is split into 25 map plates. Also included are enlargements of the map sections for each murder site, and there is also basic information about each of the Whitechapel Murder victims, as well as the Canonical 5 Jack the Ripper murder victims.
To order a copy of the map, please visit jacktherippermap.com or for more information, email me at geoffc at geoffcooper.co.uk (replace the at with a @ sign and no spaces)
You can also check out this site with new and improved maps of the East End of London from 1888. jacktherippermap.info You can preview the map plates from the new map book online, however, I can't reproduce the full resolution online, as they wouldn't fit on the screen.
