O.K. Heres the low-down.
Now a pint of lager is approximately 568 ccs. and a good average for
calorific value is 40 calories per 100 ccs.
Your average pint of lager contains,therefore, 5.68X40= 230 cals
approx.
Lager is almost all water.
A calory is defined as the amount of heat required to raise the
temperature of 1cc of water by 1 degree centigrade.
Now when you DRINK a pint of lager it is usually chilled to about 15
degrees centigrade, but when you PISS IT OUT it is usually at about 35
degrees centigrade (unless your dead).
In other words, you have used (35-15)X568 calories in heating it up or
round about 11,360 calories. BUT there's only 230 calories IN a pint of
lager. Ipso facto, the more lager you drink, the more calories you use up
heating the bloody stuff.
