The context menu of the Recycle Bin does not have the options to rename or delete the Recycle Bin by default. You can change that by a registry tweak.
To rename the Recycle Bin go to: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}\ShellFolder
Double-click Attributes: The default Binary value is: 40 01 00 20
The first byte (40) is the one you need to change.
To add Rename to the Recycle Bin context menu, change it to 50. To add the Delete option, change it to 60. You’ll still be able to delete files. To add both options to the context menu, change it to 70.
If you have deleted the Recycle Bin from the Desktop, you still can empty the Recycle bin.
On every hard drive you have a hidden folder called Recycler. Open the folder, and right click on any of the icons inside the folder and choose Empty Recycle Bin from the context menu.
If you can’t see the Recycler folder, it’s because it’s hidden. You’ll need to go into Folder Options and change the default behavior Do not show Hidden files and Folders to Show Hidden Files and Folders.
If you want to get the Recycle Bin back on the Desktop, go to: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE
\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\explorer\ Desktop\NameSpace"
Make a new Key called {645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}
Click this new Key, double-click (Default), and type Recycle Bin.
Click an empty space on the Desktop, and press the F5 key (refresh).
The Recycle Bin should re-appear.
You can also rename the My Computer icon. This
tweak works just for the currently logged on user.
Start Regedit. Go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}
.
Change the "My Computer" at end of @C:\WINNT\system32\shell32.dll,-9216@1033,My Computer .
Press the F5 key to refresh the desktop and the new name
will appear
