Fried Rice


dripping or butter
onion
crushed garlic
sprig of rosemary
finely chopped herbs; chives, chervil, fennel or turmeric or paprika or saffron

fry a little onion in a wok or frying pan in dripping or butter. Add garlic and rosemary and cook until the onion is softened.

Add freshly boiled rice and stir well. Cook for several minutes, stirring occasionally until the rice begins to colour.

Add optional herbs and salt & pepper to taste.

Stand for 10 minutes then serve.
