Beef & Guinness Stew


1 kg dice beef
¼ kg dice onion
¼ kg dice celery
¼ kg dice leek
¼ kg dice carrot
2 tbsp. gravy browning
Pinch Mixed herbs
¼ LB butter
¼ LB. Flour
4 Lt Beef stock
Seasoning
½ x Pint Guinness

Gently fry the vegetables in the butter for 5-6 mins.

Add the diced Beef and cook for 5-6 mins.

Add the herbs and flour and then slowly add the beef stock while stirring, cook for another 5-6 mins.

Add the gravy browning and seasoning.

Slow cook for 1- 1/2 hours.

Add ½ pint of Guinness and stir.

Season and serve with roast potato, carrot and parsnip.
