Beefburgers

1kg lean minced steak
2 slices stale brown bread (grated)
or:
2 cups cornflakes or other cereal
1 egg
1 red onion
1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1-2 cloves of crushed garlic
1 small handful of cilantro (coriander leaves)

Optional:
1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
or
1 tsp Dark Soy Sauce
1 tsp Olive Oil

Finely chop all ingredients and mix them together in a big bowl. A food processor will ensure a more even mix.

You can adjust the consistency of the mix by adjusting the amount of egg and breadcrumbs or cereal in the mix. If it's too sloppy, add cereal, if it's too dry, add more egg.

Take a handful of the mixture and roll into a ball. Pat down on a plate with some flour spread on it, turning over to coat both sides.

Fry on a medium heat for approximately 7 to 8 minutes, turning half way through.

Add to a bun with some fresh onion, salad and dressing.
